SST!
In a few weeks it will be January 2009. This special moment in time marks the 30th anniversary of the first SST release. Just think, about thirty years ago, in 1979 the first Black Flag E.P. "Nervous Breakdown" was released and changed music forever. We love Black Flag and SST Records so much, they have both inspired us in countless ways and to commemorate the big 3-0 (well, almost) we wanted to share some SST related videos with you, get inspired! ENJOY!
Chuck drops serious knowledge at about 3:43
The Descendents ruled my life in high school
huskers! Makes No Sense At All + Louie Louie (w/ minutemen and meat puppets joining in, the best part is D. Boon showing Gregg Norton how to do his little swaying shimmy dance he does) INCREDIBLE
J Mascis shreds, makes long hair seem pretty cool
Rare footage of The Minutemen playing without George Hurley, pretty weird, but still awesome, rumor is Hurley couldn't get time off work so they had a dude fill in, sticking to the minutemen working class aesthetic.
Meat Puppets are weirdos! YES!
Last but not least an SST commercial for the Black Flag album "Slip It In" DESTROY REALITY!

More Pictures from the road: DC
I still have so many pictures from our East Coast tour that I haven't put up yet. I am gonna just keep putting them up over the holidays while Dean and I live our borring lives at home with nothing to take pictures of.here you see the one and only Reginal and the fly homie Kevin
Dean is doing his "lighting my aura on fire" trick before we play
the dopest crew of Gansta's: Notorious A.B.E.
Now this was probably one of the most awesome things to happen ever. The man you see in the corner there is WHOLY SHIT! Bob Mould!!! He is one of the nicest guys in the world. He came to hang with us at the show and he could not have been any nicer. Dean grilled him on Husker bootlegs and demos, and I embarrassed myself with a not quite accurate rendition of Could You Be The One. Bob was incredibly nice to show me how to play one of the parts I was fucking up. Too cool, one on one guitar lessons from the man himself. Such a Genius!!!
Really one of the raddest guys! Thanks Bob!!!!
Jennifer and Hisham rockin' the merch table
Telepathy keeping it tight.
Juan rokin' it Jesus and Mary Chain style on the Sheraton.
How'd they know I was commn'?!?!
There is the raddest Vegan bakery in DC called Sticky Fingerz.
This place is really really awesome.
Hugh met us there and we all ate way too much, which is hard not to do when you are there.
We don't get leaves like this where we live.
Road Dog
Hisham the Destroyer!!!

Here we come Boston
We are psyched to play Boston today, then fly home tomorrow. I wanna say a big thank you to everyone who came to our shows on this tour. There were some cold rainy days out there, so thanks for coming out in the unfriendly weather. I have so many photos that I still haven't put up yet, so we will take a break when we get home and I will put up the archival photos throughout the cold Los angeles winter.
l
Thanks,
and in the spirit of going to Boston here are some clips of Mass's favorite son:

New York days
Jen met us in NY and cruised with us to DC
Dean was so happy
Then he got serious
and so did Jen
Then our good friend John Roche hooked us up with some great mp3 cds. Rad!
Brooks made us an amazing meal before we left.
and we gave him a ride to the subway so he could get to practice with Mick Barr. Can't wait to hear what they come up with.
Chef Brooks shunning the spot light, but BOY he knows his way a round the kitchen.
Awesome!!!
Blurry Dean and Avi back stage at Santos
After our show at Santos Mel's friend Patrick gave Jen a hair cut.
It looks really good, but she was skeptical at the time
Oh man, so much good food in NY. Michelle Cable from Panache was so sweet and hosted an awesome breakfast.
There was sushi, pancakes, scramble, ginger bloody marys, and so much more.
I was really excited to eat everything with chopsticks. I ate pancakes with chopsticks and even stirred my bloody mary with them. Is there nothing you can't do with chopsticks.
Dean and our gracious host. Thanks Michelle!
Lana was sweat enough to join me at the brunch. She had just gotten to NY after visiting her brother at Yale.
This ginger label has the raddest font.
Im telling you Ginger and maple syrup is so good together.
Dean and Dan, who makes a mean tofu scramble when he is not hangin' with MLB pro's.
Julian was the master pancake maker.
Dean found a friend.
Michelle testing the Mimosas
oh man! this waffles were so good!
Jen and the sushi.
SUNY Purchase and Soft Circle
Dean with our new T's. come find us at the table at our shows coming up with Soft Circle and Silk flowers.
Our rental minivan has Satellite Radio and I just heard john Stamos on the Howard Stern show
Jimmy tripping his face off.
We saw the new Kevin Smith movie near Times Square. Parking was insane.
Avi has the best monster and punk magazines
Avi and Jen made Vegan cookies
Dean plays the best guitar for tour.
You could sneak this guitar on an airplane under your jacket
Avi and Jen at Teany
